What to Expect at First Gilmer
Being a guest in a new church can create great uncertainty. We do all we can to make the experience a pleasant one. We want you to feel welcomed and wanted here at First Gilmer.
When you come to First Gilmer, this is what you will find...
A fun, friendly, and safe environment for your children.
Our preschool building is located just across the street on the east side of our main auditorium. You may check-in your child for their activities. Our preschool ministry has many wonderful volunteers. All of our workers who help with the newborns through high school have been screened with a background check and trained to take care of your children. Children, kindergarten and older, attend worship with their parents. Children, k-4, will be dismissed during our worship service after a special time of prayer. They will then join our children's workers for an exciting time at Noah's Park in our Children's Building. Noah's Park is a time of worship aimed to meet the spiritual needs of our children. It includes drama, live music, and a Bible story.
A Bible Fellowship group just for you!
We believe everyone should be in a small group. Your child or teenager will have Bible Fellowship of their own during this time. Bible Fellowships are selected by age, life stage, and meet every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Please select the Bible Fellowship option on the guest and newcomers page to find a Bible Fellowship group just for you.
Engaging Worship
No matter which service you attend, we believe in involving everyone in the worship experience. Our music ministry works hard each week to create an atmosphere that exalts Jesus and draws our heart toward Him.
Worship Options
We have two morning worship services on Sunday morning. Our early worship service begins at 8:20 a.m. and our late worship service begins at 10:55 a.m. We also have an evening worship service each Sunday night that begins at 6:00 p.m.
Practical, Biblical Teaching
Pastor Todd Kaunitz presents messages that are biblically based and practically relevant. Our goal is for you to leave challenged, inspired, and motivated.
